TECHNICAL SPECS
We need to start with your original color retouched digital file that has been approved. We require a minimal file size of 300 ppi @ 100% the file size. A higher resolution will also work just fine. The HelioCollage conversion is delivered in CMYK and b/w mode with a minimum of 300 ppi resolution. Each file has an embedded color profile, adjusted for newsprint reproduction with maximum total color density in any area of the image of under 235%. If you want your HelioCollage for magazine reproduction, we will provide the file with profiles adjusted for magazine reproduction. Because we supply the file to you as a CMYK bitmapped file, it is supplied in line screens at 10 lpi up to 175 lpi. Your choice of technique combinations will determine the lines-per-inch your converted EPS will be delivered. This can be determined when you consult with your Heliogramme representative.

The HelioCollage offers the perfect solution for your image to stand out on a page full of images or text. By combining two or more techniques, we turn your image into an eye-catching work of art. Plus youll get more detail, sharper contrast, and better reproduction than you thought possible. This special technique can be reproduced as a Dot, Graph, or Stration. It can also be produced as a combinations of several techniques such as the Dot (4/c or b/w) combined with the Graph (4/c or b/w). By masking areas of the image into CMYK and other areas into b/w, final reproduction gives a three-dimensional effect of increased depth that draws the eye to important areas of the image. The HelioCollage turns dull into dramatic.
The HelioCollage can also be utilized to achieve a unique look for your magazine ads, adding a creative pattern to your images.
